With his close friend Allen J. Tucker, DVM, he is cofounder of the Animal Emergency Clinic of Southern New Hampshire formed in 1993 to provide expert after hours care for our patients. He is married and has five children, two sons in law, three grandsons, five dogs and seven cats. Besides those 23 all important hobbies, he also enjoys music, art and being outdoors.

Dr. Janet E. Mack VMD
Janet E. Mack, VMD was born in Hartford and raised in Windsor, Connecticut. She graduated from Quinipiac University and from Thomas Jefferson University's top rated ultrasound program. She worked in the human ultrasound field for several years, before finally achieving her life long goal of entering The University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine where, while earning her Doctor of Veterinary degree, she was instrumental in the introduction of the use of ultrasound at that institution. Since graduation from U Penn she has worked in Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont and New Hampshire performing ultrasound services including echocardiograms, ultrasound guided biopsy, aspirations, etc. Dr. Mack is married and has five children, five dogs, seven cats, and five horses (similar to Dr. Lewis!). Her non-work hours are spent with her family, riding horses, running, swimming, or doing needlepoint. Everyone loves Dr. Mack, with good reason.
Dr. Lori Baldwin (Perkins) VMD
Dr. Lori Baldwin was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Juniata College in Huntington, Pennsylvania with a degree in biology. She then attended The University of Pennsylvania where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Baldwin has been in continuous small animal practice since graduation. Her knowledge of internal medicine in all animals is outstanding but she is truly gifted in the canine and feline species in particular. Dr. Baldwin is married and has two children and some interesting cats. When not working she is reading, camping, skiing, hiking or just plain being outside. Her skill, thorough follow up and dedication will be as obvious to you as her happy attitude and easy smile. We know you will love her like we do, and we do we do.
Dr. Steven F. DeKavis DVM
Dr. Steven F. DeKavis was born and raised in north central Massachusetts, however he has spend a great deal of his free time in New Hampshire his entire life. He is a graduate of Cornell University and got his DVM from an excellent University in Italy and then did further work at the internship program at the famous Animal Medical Center in New York City. After that he has worked in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He loves nature and the outdoors so he has spent many a day and night exploring the mountains and back woods of our granite state. He has had many adventures on the trails both here and in such amazing places as Africa and many of the countries in Central and South America. He "gets by" with language knowledge in Spanish, Italian and Portugese. Those of you who speak French should try him out and see what he can do! Dr. Dekavis comes to us after spending over a year trying to do what a veterinarian can do to try to help the rain forest disasters in South America. He is an experienced talented Veterinarian and his kind gentle way is bound to show through.
Dr. E. Turner Lewis DVM
Dr. E. Turner Lewis was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but like his brother Dr. Matt, he has spent time in New Hampshire his whole life. Dr. E.T. Lewis graduated from Kalamazoo College then went on to Michigan State University where he recieved his DVM degree. Since graduation he has been continuously practicing veterinary medicine near Boston, with most of the years at his own practice. He is married with two children and four grandchildren. This Dr. Lewis has been very active in the Sled Dog area of our field and is currently an officer in the American Association of Sled Dog Veterinarians. He has been an attending veterinarian at the Iditerod Race 12 times and also working many of the other races countless times. Dr. E.T. Lewis is now retired from his own practice but fills in with us when a Doctor here is on vacation. When he is not working here or out on the snow, this Dr. Lewis is with his wonderful wife of 40 years, Kay, enjoying Bluegrass festivals, Kalamazoo College Board of Trustees activities, Rotary Club activities, watching sports or enjoying the outside world.
GAH Techs

Diana  was born in Manchester and raised right here in Pinardville. She has been associated with our hospital since her late father took on the job of painting our first sign in 1977 and Dr. Lewis promised him (Rene Gagnon) that she would be our first person hired to be full time (and she was). Diana started in 1979, and Dr. Lewis says she is the best all around technician in the state (or maybe the world!). Her opinion is valued in all conferences in medicine rounds. Diana is married and has one son, Garrett born in 1995. She has many pets and she loves all animals.

Karen  was born in Nashua but has lived most of her life and was educated in Manchester. She has two grown children, Aimee now of Springfield, MA and Jonathan of Plymouth, NH. Karen is an excellent cook and quilter as well as an excellent technician. She loves her dog and cats, reading, hiking and gratefully from all of us laughing. We can't live without Karen.

Maura  has been with us since 1996. She was born in Manchester and has always lived in the area. She has five grown children so now shares her house with three dogs and many cats. Maura loves quilting, reading, music, dancing, theater, and outdoor activities. She is a self-professed obsessive gardener, but the truth is she is incredibly knowledgeable in the field. Her caring and concern for animals and people, if not already apparent to you, will be obvious the more you see her. She is married to our long time friend and painter, Ron Pichette.

Nancy  was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved to New Hampshire 32 years ago. She has been a technician for 15 years. She is married, has 2 grown children and two growing grandsons, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 guinea pig, and fish. Nancy enjoys working her Australian Shepherds in agility trials, Halloween, hiking, camping, and quilting. We really enjoy Nancy!!

Alison  is a graduate of Rivier College having recieved her Bachelor's degree in biology in May of 2005. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in NH since 1993. Alison has worked here for many years now. Like Drs Mack and Lewis and techs Nancy and Diana she likes Australian Shepherd dogs. Alison had the joy of owning our Hospital's favorite pet rat ,Madison, who unfortunately died of cancer recently. Alison is a great technician with significant depth to her knowledge. We are very happy to have her on our part time staff with her great brain and great sense of humor.

Donna  is a West Manchester resident that is a great addition to the animal lovers here. She has always lived in Manchester. After 18 years of marriage she still loves her husband, Peter. In the past she had fun coaching Junior Deb Softball and now her hobbies include cross stitching, playing softball, playing cards and traveling (has been on multiple cruises and to Hawaii twice). Donna has two cats and one dog. She joined us in 2003 and is rapidly mastering all the aspects of this Hospital.

Manon  was born and raised in Manchester. She is currently a college student and works with us after school and during vacations and weekends. She has one dog, two brothers and one sister. She has traveled the East Coast of the US and enjoys cheerleading, participating in civil war enactments, and bargain hunting. Who wouldn't reduce the price on something to do business with someone as fun as Manon.

Angela   was born in Massachusetts but has lived in New Hampshire for her whole life. She has extensive experience in the animal field from which she has made her living for many years. Most of her experience has been with horses and cats. Angela likes to snow board and of course ride horses. She is a welcome addition to our full time staff with her beautiful smile and her happy, dedicated-to-animals spirit.

Pauline   hails from Trenton, NJ where she met her husband of 45+ years who was in the service. They have lived in Japan (3 years), Maine, and Florida before moving to Manchester almost 30 years ago now. Pauline and her husband have had many dogs over the years and currently have a shih tzu. Pauline works part of the third shift here and is primarily responsible for keeping our facility clean and shiny, in the tradition of Bette and Hilde before her. Thanks, Pauline.

Holli   is also a local hero being born and raised in the area. She has worked here since high school. We are proud to inform you that Holli is now working towards a DVM degree at the University of Prince Edward Island with graduation expected in 2011.

Jessica   is a student at West High who is extremely bright and who has been one of the fastest learners we have ever had at the Hospital. She loves both dogs and cats and works with us after school and on Saturdays..

Sarah   is near the top of her class at Goffstown High School and her level of intelligence will be obvious to you as you interact with her in the office after school, weekends and vacations. Sarah plays soccer for GHS and is involved in several other extra-curricular activities.

Aline   has been closely associated with our Hospital for as long as Diana since she is Diana's mother and her late husband painted our original sign in January of 1977. She was born in the area and lived here her whole life. She has two children and two grandchildren. Aline works for us part time as a receptionist. She has a great sense of humor and is a joy to have around us especially on some of the hectic mornings.
